Every time I try and remove the wash it takes the paint off too eventhough I put a varnish layer on before

A good recipe that can be made further cost effective by using Propylene Glycol ( vaping fluid ) in lieu of Retarder and Rinse Aid instead of Flow Improver - these two ingredients are basically analogues of what manufacturers are selling as branded products.

I didn't like the trigger.Airbrush It has a nail that is quite uncomfortable to use. I have to buy another extra trigger because the original is a disaster to be able to concentrate and work. Also between the trigger and the cup it is very short. You cannot use another large cup. I was disappointed with those details, I had to buy another airbrush that I can use comfortably.

You would only need all 3 drop tanks if you were doing a long haul ferry flight along with aerial refueling. 2 drop tanks for Combat Air patrols were commonly seen during the Gulf War.

Thing about this kit is you aren't going to see much of the landing gear bay detail unless you are doing a maintenance diorama since the gear doors are usually closed when sitting on the flight line. even the radar electronics bay hatches are usually closed as well.

I think this commission building might be for people willing to make a bit of extra cash to pay partially their mortage. It seems also you might loose your mojo for the hobby, because if you have a big backlog of models to deliver and risking your schedule, you might end up using all your free time (besides real job) doing models, which might be stressful too. So this activity might be good for somebody retired that has a lot of time to do modeling keeping the brain busy. Thank you for sharing the insight of comission building.

I built a bunch of 1/72 scale WWII aircraft from airfix and Revell Just to get Back into the Hobby. But after seeing the quality difference , I might Just build a new set of Tamiya Kits 😍😍😍

One of the wings on the Hurricane kit two halves dont match up, so it's best to file the guide points off (I foget wich wing now). I have got the Hasegawa. It is good but needs Eduard parts, if you can get an aftermarket canopy, the only option in the kit is a closed cockpit, it makes you wonder why they make the cockpit so detailed. The spitfire ground crew are over sized, better to get the ICM and aftermarket resin ground crew. The Airfix Albion refueler is really nice.

Well you know you can absolutely use lacquers and enamels without primers without any adhesion problems. However acrylics absolutely does need a primer base..............

This paint is the cheapest variety you can find for artwork, but it makes wonders for electric RC airplanes. Thanks a bunch.

B-29s had flush rivets and butt-joined skin panels. If you don’t see any rivets molded on this kit, it’s because it is accurate in that respect.
